Many customers ask about the ability to change the language in our CertMaster products. While we do not currently offer integrated language options, if you are using the Google Chrome internet browser, the Google Translate extension may be an option for you. Although this isn’t a perfect solution, it is a pretty good alternative. The following steps will show you how to add the Google Translate extension to your browser and then how to use the extension with CertMaster products.
Adding an extension to Google Chrome
- You can follow the steps outlined by Google on Adding Apps and Extensions.
Note: Be sure to search for the Google Translate extension and click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
Using the Google Translate Extension in CertMaster
To have the Google Translate extension automatically translate an entire page in CertMaster , complete the following:
- Once you have the extension added to your browser toolbar, click on the extension’s icon in the top right corner and click on TRANSLATE THIS PAGE.
- A new Google Translate bar will appear at the top of the screen. Click on the language to the right of View this page in:
- This opens a drop-down menu with available languages. Select the language you’d like the page to be translated to.
Note: This currently only works on text found in the CertMaster interface, closed captioning, interactive scripts, text lessons, and exams. It does not work with audio or text in the simulated labs. You can use the keyboard shortcuts to copy text (Ctrl + C) from labs and paste (Ctrl + V) into translate.google.com
